First there is my husband, Dave. We've been married 7 years - I knew from the beginning that this was the man God had intended for me and I still know that, to this day! It was crazy, we met in early October for coffee (hardly knowing each other) and were married the following May - just seven short months later. But when it's God it's good!Dave is employed as a High Level Dusting Specialist at a local factory - sounds impressive eh? Really it means he dusts the big pipes that are up high - though makes for a very cool sounding titlle ;) Dave is a talented musician, a super handy man, a wonderful daddy and an amazing husband! I am truly blessed to be the wife and best friend of this compassionate and Godly man! ♥
Olivia is our oldest, she was born in July of 2007. She is a blessing and a testament that God knows more then any doctor! We conceived Olivia within a year of the doctors telling us there was a good chance we couldn't have any children! She is such a sweety! Olivia is a special girl, she has some medical mysteries that we are looking for answers to. She is gross motor delayed which means that she struggles with simple tasks such as walking, balance, climbing, etc. Olivia couldn't craw until she was 18 months old and began walking around her second birthday. Coupled with this delay is a genetic disorder - (or at least the doctors think so) I will make a long story short here and say that we are in the process of checking her DNA to determine what her condition may be. They have some ideas but cannot make a diagnosis yet and may never. Some of the issues we face with her are related to her skin, hair and teeth. Olivia did not begin to get teeth until the age of two and at that point all she had was one molar. Since that time we have seen doctors and specialist and not one of them has ever seen anything like this. Through this experience, with the all the doctors, with other professionals and even with family, we witness God's goodness. After much prayer and waiting Olivia's teeth slowly began to make an apprearance. Olivia loves to tell people, "Jesus gave me my teeth!" We continue looking into the various issues that arise with her, but she is a super sweet, extremely intelligent, imaginative and loving little girl - she is just the way God made her; a blessing! After the miracle of one child we were blessed with our second daughter, Catherine. She was born in March of 2009 so the girls are close in age, which is nice...busy, but nice! She is a happy little one who is crazy about music, dancing and her big sister! She is a bright eyed, curious little girl who is growing up, way to fast!
Other then those slight abnormalities we are a typical family - or at least I like to think so, for really who defines typical? We love the Lord, know that Christ is our saviour and want to live accordingly and pleasingly to Him!
